General Information

altRangiuru School is a small, rural school providing an education of choice for both rural and town students. It is comprised of¬†4 classrooms, a multipurpose room for arts and multi media purposes, a school information centre (library) and an administration block. An extensive playground and sports field area are a great place to play as well as the skate-bowl, tennis court, swimming pool and shade area. A small area of native trees and bush, affectionately called ‚ÄėThe Shrubbery‚Äô, stands behind the school and is used for outdoor activities and environmental education.

Built on generations of farming families the school has a strong focus on being part of the wider community and encouraging an environment of nurturing and cultural understanding. There is an effort to include into the curriculum those broader aspects of education that help students develop in their confidence and help them take responsibility for their own learning.
